Hey Y’all,
These 5 tips will get you absolutely nowhere in becoming a successful blogger and I took one for the the team on trying them out so you don’t have to.
1. Inconsistency. Ahh the very easy to attain inconsistency of writing. Whether this comes from writer’s block, lack of motivation, or forgetting your password to your website, you can definitely achieve this first step the easiest. (This goes for you social media platforms too, by the way.)
2. Lack of Promoting. Even if you do struggle with continuous content, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t not promote your already existing work. Some people could be new and haven’t read that article yet so resharing is the best. But, this article is how not to be a good blogger so don’t promote new or old content.
3. Being the worst at social media. Not only do I make my posts extremely random, filter-wise inconsistent, and with the most not cool captions, I’d like to accept the crown for being the queen for worst social media. AND, I used to love doing facebook polls because the few followers I do have were pretty killer at participating in those. Then Facebook did me dirty and got rid of that feature.
4 and 5. Being Super Unrelatable and Not Having a Niche. These two go hand in hand. Not only do I not have a clean house all the time, but also, projects never get finished because I have commitment issues (hence the poor blogging skills). So really I don’t have much of a niche in blogging because my crafty skills are great until I don’t feel like finishing the blog post about them and the words just sit in my drafts, I don’t know how to cook so blogging about my kraft mac and cheese is a no go, cleaning is not my forte so no point in lying to you about the “Best Tips and Tricks to Have a Spotless Home”, and I have a full time job that knocks out the whole Travel Blogger aspect.
All in all I have learned that blogging will never be my full time for all 5 of these reasons, in which you should avoid to be way more successful at it than me. But, it doesn’t change the fact that the days I do feel passionate about it I still will because I can. Just don’t expect me to get serious about writing because, life man.
Here is to the next post that will probably be in a year or so with no ragrets!
This has been your daily dose of Vitamin C!
