So, this past Sunday I decided to be a little spontaneous (and maybe a responsible amount of reckless) by spending the night living my best life on the beach. I wish I could say it was more like mimosas and sunshine, but it was more like a cracked open can of Mikes Hard and letting the ocean wash my cares away and maybe my sunnies, too. (DISCLAIMER: Please drink responsibly.)
The day was most definitely filled with a ton of laughter, but unfortunately with one moment of grief. Now is the time we shall take for a moment of silence in order to remember my brand new pair of RayBans that got taken away at see and was re-homed to the crabs that live on the beach of Melbourne. Yes, my dumb @$$ wore my brand new expensive sunglasses into the ocean. The worst part was that I was holding them the whole time I was in the deep and when I was walking back to shore (in the shallow at my knees) a wave came out of nowhere and knocked me down and took them. So, currently the Earth and I are not on speaking terms.
On the bright side I am a little bit tanner and a littler bit more cultured in my Florida life! I have been here for almost four complete months and have not done anything but run the parks of Disney World. I am a Disney-fanatic but sometimes a girl needs to see some new sights. Thankfully Melbourne did that for me and brought me closer to some already close friends. I couldn’t have asked for more of an amazing experience from something so spontaneous as this. Here are just a few photos of my last minute adventures.
The ocean may have taken my sunglasses, but it didn’t take my spirit or dignity, that is for sure. So who is the real winner here?
Until next week!
